Revolution qualify for Concacaf Champions Cup, set to face Club Atlético Independiente de La Chorrera

FOXBOROUGH, MA– The New England Revolution have qualified for the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup and are set to face Club Atlético Independiente de La Chorrera in their first-round matchup.

Following the Columbus Crew’s 2-1 victory over Los Angeles FC in the 2023 MLS Cup Final, the New England Revolution claimed the last spot in the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup due to their Supporter’s Shield standings.

This is the 3rd time that New England has qualified for the competition.

On December 13th, the New England Revolution drew Club Atlético Independiente de La Chorrera of Panama.

The Liga Panameña de Fútbol side are the 2023 Panamanian Champions and have won 6 titles in 7 seasons. This is their second appearance in Champion’s Cup.

The Revolution are set to play their first leg AWAY at Estadio Agustín Muquita Sánchez in Chorrera, Panama on Wednesday February 2nd at 8:00p.m. EST. The return leg will be HOME at Gillette Stadium on Thursday, February 29th 8:15p.m. EST.

The winner of the two-legged contest is set to face Costa Rican Side Liga Deportiva Alajuelense. The Costa Rican side are 2x Concacaf Champions Cup Champions (1986, 2004) and are 3x Runners-Up (1971, 1992, 1999).
