Report: Trey Lance ‘a little annoyed’ after Jimmy Garoppolo decision
Lance was officially tabbed as the team’s starting quarterback for the 2022 season in late July.
In six games (two starts) last season as a rookie, the 22-year-old went 41-for-71 for 603 passing yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions, while adding 168 yards and one score on the ground. Lance didn’t take a snap in any of San Francisco’s three postseason contests.
The Niners will open up the 2022 season on the road against the Chicago Bears at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
