Report: The San Antonio Spurs have waived Marquese Chriss
The Spurs have reportedly announced that they have officially waived Marquese Chriss.
Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that San Antonio is making this move to create a roster opening to sign free-agent center Gorgui Dieng.
The Spurs are releasing Marquese Chriss to create roster space for center Gorgui Dieng, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.

PATFO acquired Chriss from the Golden State Warriors in exchange for the draft rights to 2015 second-rounder Cady Lalanne minutes before the end of the trade deadline this Thursday.
The former lottery selection was teammates with Dejounte Murray at the University of Washington during the 2015-16 season and never appeared in a game for the Silver and Black.
