Report: Odell Beckham Jr.’s Asking Price For 2023 Revealed

Odell Beckham Jr. took last season off after sustaining an ACL injury during the Super Bowl the previous postseason. The All-Pro wide receiver has been linked to playoff competitors this offseason. One of the more intriguing options would be pairing Beckham with Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets. A new report reveals what Beckham wants in compensation for this season.

According to Rich Cimini with ESPN, Beckham is looking for $3 million more than what analysts suggest his market price should be:

“Jets officials weren’t shy about expressing their interest in free agent Odell Beckham Jr., who generated a lot of publicity by milling around the hotel grounds with his agent. Beckham is thought to be seeking a one-year deal for $15 million, which is pricey for a 30-year-old receiver coming off his second ACL surgery. A deal in the $10 million to $12 million range seems more likely, with a chance to earn more with incentives.”

The Jets might try and knock down that $15 million a little in free agency. Beckham’s injury history won’t have too many contenders knocking on the door for his services before the season, as they’ll allocate needed cap for safer options. Teams could wait to sign Beckham until later in the season if he doesn’t agree to a minor deal in the offseason.
