Industry legend Takahashi Meijin, known for his work with Hudson Soft alongside his ’16 shot per second’ trigger finger, proves he’s still got what it takes to mash buttons at the age of 63.

In a video shared on Twitter, Meijin tackles the Pokey Pummel mini-game in Mario Party Superstars, blasting through the game in just 5.16 seconds. While not a world record, as such, it proves that age hasn’t slowed him down one bit (heh…), and watching his trigger finger at work is a true marvel.

Quite impressive, indeed! Considering he was 27 years old when he accomplished the ’16 shot’ he’s become known for, it’s clear that he’s been maintaining such incredible speed in the years since.

We were lucky enough to speak with Meijin back in 2009 about his work with Hudson Soft, his favourite shooters, and the hobbies he enjoys during his spare time. Check it out via the link below.

What do you think of Takahashi Meijin’s incredibly quick trigger finger? Reckon you could do better? Let us know!
