Raheem Sterling Contemplating Surprise Contract Decision As Three Clubs Pursue Deal For City Ace

Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling is considering whether to run down his contract at the Etihad, according to reports in England.

The 27-year-old has been linked with moves to Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham but City are not willing to let him leave on the cheap, despite his current deal expiring at the end of next season.

It is believed that the Premier League champions will hold out for around £60m, which could price Sterling out of moves to potential suitors, and he is consequently contemplating leaving on a free.

While the England international is not unhappy at City, he does have doubts about his game time and he would demand an increase on his £300,000 a week salary if he were to put pen to paper on an extension.

Moving on a free transfer would open up Sterling’s options in terms of who he could join. It has even been suggested that the forward may consider moving abroad rather than remaining in the Premier League.
