“I embrace the challenge and I try to think of all the challenges that are going to come with this. I think the biggest one is that the team have great ambition to qualify for the Champions League, so we need to be in the top three.

“I think that’s where our minds are at, and competing against the top teams in this league is going to be tough. It’s been hard to break into that and that’s really where my mind goes when I think about this season and our goals.

“It’s such a great opportunity to be playing at such a consistent and high-level environment for the next season. It’s everything I could have asked for,” she added.

“I think, in the end, I want to compete for titles, and that’s what we’re going to do. The team and Casey [Stoney], what they’ve put together is really strong. Even though it’s a young club, the goals and the ambitions of the team, the club and the coach are at the highest level. That’s what I look for.”
