Press conference: Sevilla boss Jose Mendilibar previews second leg

It has been confirmed that Marcus Rashford is part of the Reds’ travelling squad for the tie – as one of four recent absentees to travel – after missing the first leg and Sunday’s victory at Forest as a result of the injury he sustained against Everton earlier this month.

Discussing the red-hot form of our no.10 this season, the Sevilla boss issued high praise for Rashford’s endeavours in front of goal so far in 2022/23.

”Rashford is one of the best strikers there is at the moment, but we’re not going to adjust our plan depending on whether he plays or not, we’re thinking about ourselves and respecting our opponents,” added the 62-year-old.

”If he plays, it will be because he is fit, but if he doesn’t, someone else will play who will be as good as him or almost as good.”
