Premier League top scorers: 2021/22 standings in the Golden Boot race

With the 2021/22 Premier League campaign now underway, the race for the Golden Boot is already heating up.

It was Harry Kane who picked up the prestigious prize for a third time last season after scoring an impressive 23 goals in 35 games, while also winning the Playmaker award with 14 assists.

The future of the Tottenham striker remains precarious, however, with Manchester City still desperate to bring the England captain up north.

But despite the uncertainty, Kane is among the favourites to finish on top once more.

As is Chelsea signing Romelu Lukaku, who has completed a £98million transfer from Inter Milan, where he scored 24 goals last season to guide the Italian giants to a first Serie A title in 11 years.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah – who was narrowly beaten to the prize last season – is also expected to be within the mix come the end of the season, alongside Bruno Fernandes, who currently leads the way after his hat-trick against Leeds in Manchester United’s opening-day 5-1 victory.
