Post-waiver wire fantasy football pickups for Week 10

Let the others stand in line while you enjoy this week’s selection of post-waiver fantasy football additions.

QB: Trevor Lawrence (Jacksonville Jaguars)

In Week 9 against the Raiders, Lawrence was 25-for-31 for 235 yards and a touchdown and rushed six times for 53 yards. He also has three rushing touchdowns in his past four games.

In Week 10, Jacksonville faces the Chiefs, who lead the league in scoring, so Jacksonville will need to pass if it hopes to keep pace. Lawrence is available in 36% of Yahoo leagues, and he’s ESPN’s 10th-ranked QB. That number goes up if Buffalo’s Josh Allen and Arizona’s Kyler Murray can’t play.

The Chiefs defense has given up the eighth-most fantasy points. Lawrence won’t beat the Chiefs, but he’ll help win your matchup.

RB: Jaylen Warren (Pittsburgh Steelers)

Warren, a rookie, is an undrafted free agent who has never had more than six carries in an NFL game. Najee Harris, a first-round pick in many fantasy drafts, is a massive disappointment this season. Per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Steelers could favor Warren the rest of the way.

In limited action, Warren has averaged 5.3 yards per rush and 7.3 yards per catch. He’s available in 79% of Yahoo leagues. In Week 10, he’ll face a Saints defense that’s not great against the run.

WR: Terrace Marshall Jr. (Carolina Panthers)

Marshall Jr. gets the Falcons this week. Only the Steelers have given up more fantasy points to wide receivers. Marshall is coming off the best two games of the season, with 140 yards total on 15 targets and a touchdown.

Marshall battled a leg injury at the start of 2022, but he could make a late-season push on a team that should trail most weeks. Marshall is available in 80% of Yahoo leagues.

TE: Cole Kmet (Chicago Bears)

Kmet started the year as a fantasy bust, going without a catch until Week 3. His quarterback didn’t didn’t help him much, but now that Justin Fields is playing better, you can expect bigger things from the Bears skill players.

In Week 9, Kmet had his best game, scoring two TDs. He has three TDs in his past two games and is available in 51% of Yahoo leagues.

In Week 10, the Bears face the Lions, who give up the fourth-most fantasy points to tight ends. If the Bears continue to play well, Kmet could be the steal.

K: Graham Gano (New York Giants)

Only six kickers have more fantasy points than Gano, who’s available in 33% of Yahoo leagues. The Giants had a bye in Week 9, so there’s a good chance somebody in your league dropped him last week. With the bye week behind him, he’d be a great pickup for the rest of the season.

DST: Arizona Cardinals

Arizona’s defense, which has the eighth-most fantasy points, faces the Los Angeles Rams in Week 10. The Rams have given up the most fantasy points to team defenses. L.A. may be without QB Matt Stafford, who is in the concussion protocol.

Available in 71% of leagues, the Cardinals are the perfect defense to plug in for Week 10. Be sure to drop them before they face San Francisco in Week 11.
