Poll: What’s The Best Ace Attorney Game?

20 years ago, on 12th October 2001, the very first Ace Attorney game was released on Game Boy Advance. Although we wouldn’t get the game in English until 2005 — when it was re-released on the DS — the Ace Attorney series has long been beloved by people all over the world.

A large part of that is due to the loveable protagonist Phoenix “Nick” Wright, whose career journey from rookie lawyer to best-in-the-biz leads us through court cases where pretty much everyone he’s ever known gets accused of murder at least once. Alongside other series favourites like Miles Edgeworth, Franziska Von Karma, Apollo Justice, and the Fey family, Phoenix will not only get his clients acquitted — he’ll also unravel cold cases, expose long-forgotten crimes, and negotiate with terrorists.

We found that the ranking was quite hard to do ourselves, since everyone has a favourite game/case/character that varies WILDLY from person to person — so we’re turning to you to celebrate Phoenix Wright and pals turning 20 by helping us rank the games.

Below you’ll find the candidates; registered Nintendo Life users can click on the stars and rate any (or all) of the games out of 10. If you’ve previously rated these games — excellent! — you can just put your feet up. Much like our Top 50 platform polls, the resulting ranking (which we’ll publish soon) will be created from the database of NL User Ratings and is therefore fluid and subject to change, even after publication.

If you’re halfway through an Ace Attorney game (maybe you still haven’t finished Chronicles, because it’s very long), then don’t worry — you can add your score to the game at any time in the future and it will still count and potentially influence the ranking.
