Fans of the New England Patriots hoping that current San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo could return to the team that drafted him back in 2014 received some bad news ahead of the start of this year’s player selection process.
Roughly 30 minutes before the kickoff of the 2021 NFL Draft, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport explained that salary-cap issues will likely prevent the Patriots from trading for Garoppolo during the draft that runs through Saturday:
