Paris Saint Germain have made an opening offer for Paul Pogba as they look to add yet another free agent to their side this summer.

The French side, who look set to win back the Ligue 1 title this season, added Sergio Ramos, Gini Wijnaldum, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Lionel Messi on free transfers last summer, although none of the deals have gone the way that they perhaps expected them to, with Ramos and Messi being having been booed by the home fans this season.

However, the Ligue 1 leaders seem to be ready to dip their toes back into that water, as they have reportedly made an opening bid to lure Pogba to Paris when his contract expires at Old Trafford this June.

It is unclear whether the offer will be accepted, with The Manchester Evening News reporting that it is a lower financial offer than that which the Red Devils last offered, and that Pogba would prefer a move to Juventus should the opportunity present itself.

‘The terms are understood to be lower than the final package United offered Pogba in a vain attempt to convince the midfielder to stay at the club’, they claim.

‘Pogba… is open to joining PSG but is understood to prefer a return to Juventus’.

Meanwhile, it may just be a two-horse race as ‘Real Madrid’s interest has subsided significantly since former coach Zinedine Zidane left last year.’

Will Pogba get Juve move?

Pogba’s best form of his career came during his last spell with the Turin club, and there is a good chance that they at least explore the possibility of bringing him back for another stint. Rodrigo Bentancur has joined Tottenham, while Adrien Rabiot and Arthur Melo are seemingly unwanted by Max Allegri. Aaron Ramsey, currently away on loan, is also expected to depart this summer.

This leaves just Denis Zakaria, signed in January, and Weston McKennie as options in the centre of midfield, and the majority of the summer budget having already been blown on forward Dusan Vlahovic.

It creates an opening for a free agent move for Pogba.
