Open Thread: Tim Duncan promotes Black Restaurant Week San Antonio

As you may have seen during last night’s telecast, Spurs Give and the Tim Duncan Foundation have teamed up to donate $100,000 to the San Antonio Food Bank to support Black Restaurant Week San Antonio.

Founder and organizer Ryane Smith shared, “This year is bigger than ever; amazing with these amazing participants from food trucks, restaurants, and professionals. They need our support and Black Restaurant Week San Antonio is a great time to do it. The tenets of Black Restaurant Week San Antonio is community, culture, and cuisine.”

Here is a list of the participating restaurants.

Earlier this week, one of the participants, Mark’s Outing, gave out meals via drive-up to people hit hardest by last week’s historic winter.

If you are in the area, take advantage of the wonderful culinary options, celebrate Black History Month, and support those fighting food insecurity in San Antonio.
