It appears all was all right in the end:
I have good news: I’ve been told that Keita Bates-Diop is perfectly fine after today’s workout in Utah. Just a little back tightness, and he’s already back to normal. Good to hear about the #Buckeyes grad.

The first team All-Big 10 player and consensus second All-American team player has otherwise had a standout year with an impressive stat line including 19.8 points per game and 8.7 rebounds. His 7’3.25” wingspan assisted in his 56 blocks and 31 steals in his junior year.
Bates-Diop missed most of the 2016-17 season with a stress fracture in his left leg. If positive health can stay on Bates-Diop’s side, he will have a solid NBA career. Whether or not he will be donning a Spurs jersey remains to be seen.
The Sporting News has Donte DiVincenzo going 29th to the Nets and Kevin Huerter as a “possible” without making their top 30.
