Open Thread: Spurs “City Edition” jersey revealed

Each year NBA fans area treated to options for their team spirit purchases. The San Antonio Spurs have black, white, and grey jerseys. There is usually a special military option. The NBA also releases “city edition” versions for teams.

This year’s Spurs City Edition may have been revealed via Twitter:

The tweet claims “legitimacy not confirmed,” but the next tweet from WOAI’s Ty Jager touted a confirmed anonymous source.

Legit or not, this would be a great addition to any Spurs fan’s collection. The colors are a throwback to the ‘99 Championship squad who earned the franchise’s first title.

It also shares in the spirit of San Antonio’s annual Fiesta which was a victim of the global coronavirus pandemic.

Now we just need to determine if the pictured jersey is for LaMarcus Aldridge or Bruce Bowen.
