Open Thread: Merry Christmas, Pounders
How do you celebrate the holiday?
There has been lots of Christmas spirit coming from the San Antonio Spurs.
Pop and Derrick White visited Pershing Elementary and gave out shoes through Shoes That Fit.
Pau Gasol visited Methodist Children’s Hospital here in San Antonio.
Pau, joined by Patty Mills and Bryn Forbes, visited The Children’s Shelter of San Antonio.
Marco Belinelli helped distribute Christmas trees to some families in need at the Wesley Health & Wellness Center.
Rudy Gay brightened a family’s Christmas dressed as Santa Clause through the Elf Louise Project.
Lonnie Walker IV sent a video back to the children of Reading, PA.
DeMar DeRozan surprised 150 students at Compton High with a holiday party.
With no shortage of goodwill in the San Antonio community, I am proud to be a Spurs fan.
This holiday my family and I have gone around our neighborhood, visited with some of our neighbors, and taken some treats to share. We’ve also been baking and decorating cookies to share.
We will make our holiday pilgrimage to the AT&T Center for a Rampage game as well as a Spurs game.
What traditions, Spurs oriented or not, do you and you family have?
Many blessings to you and your loved ones. I am grateful this season that I am invited to participate in this community and find myself amazed that I landed here in the first place.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.
