Open Thread: LiAngelo Ball performed “Tweaker” at the All-Star Game

The former G-Leaguer has traded his basketball for the microphone
LiAngelo Ball performed his single “Tweaker” after the KIA Skills Challenge as part of State Farm All-Star Saturday Night on Saturday night at Chase Center in San Francisco.
Ball, the middle brother of Lonzo and LaMelo, never found the same success as his brothers, both current NBA guards. LiAngelo opted out of collegiate basketball after being suspended for shoplifting in China in 2017.
He played in Lithuania before joining the Junior Basketball Association (a league started by his father that lasted one season), and then spent two seasons with the Charlotte Hornet’s G-League affiliate Greensboro Swarm.
Most recently, he suited up for the Astros de Jalisco, a professional Mexican team, based in Guadalajara.
Last month, LiAngelo, or Gelo, his performance moniker, released “Tweaker,” his one and only song. The single was enough to get him some air time during All-Star Weekend, but also landed him a $13M contract with Def Jam Recordings. He has since previewed two more songs.
What do you think, Pounders?
