Open Thread: Frost presents Winterfest at The Rock at La Cantera
A weeks-Long celebration with holiday activities
Per A Spurs press release:
The Rock at La Cantera announced its first-ever Winterfest, presented by Frost, which will run from Monday, November 25 through Monday, January 6 at Frost Plaza. This festive celebration of the winter season will feature visits from Santa Claus, an ice-skating rink and many more holiday activities. Entry to Winterfest is free and it is open to all ages.
Casey Heverling, Senior Vice President of Facilities for Spurs Sports & Entertainment, stated,
“We envisioned Frost Plaza as a place that would bring our community together and we are excited to transform it into a winter wonderland right here in the middle of south Texas for everyone to enjoy. Winterfest will be the perfect place for families, friends and fans to get in the holiday spirit.”
Winterfest will features a Christmas tree display on Frost Plaza, holiday movie nights on the big screen, and carol sing-a-longs.
Winterfest at The Rock Highlights:
- Ice-Skating Rink – Open every day of Winterfest, this outdoor ice-skating rink will be available for all to enjoy for free during Winterfest’s open hours, which can be found on the Winterfest calendar at TheRockAtLaCantera.com. Skates will be available for rental or customers can bring their own.
- Visit from Santa Claus – Santa will stop by Frost Plaza each Saturday during Winterfest. Kids can meet Santa every Saturday afternoon, with an option to purchase a photo with him. Exact hours for Santa will vary.
- Holiday Market – Shop for gifts and get in the holiday spirit at the holiday market at Frost Plaza, taking place every Friday and Saturday of Winterfest from 6 to 11 p.m.
