The former Spurs sharpshooter calls the game in Utah

Tonight the Spurs take on the Utah Jazz for the fourth (and presumably final) time this season. The Jazz sit near the bottom of the Western Conference with a 4-12 record.

The Spurs won the first outing on Halloween handily 106-88.

The second meeting saw Utah earn the W by one point.

Less than a week ago, the Spurs once again vanquished the Jazz 126-118.

In this fourth meeting, Sean Elliott has opted to take one of his vacation days and Jacob Tobey will joined by Spurs great Danny Green.

Green, a member of the Spurs in 2010 and then again from 2011-2018, has won three NBA titles with three teams. His first in 2014 came with the Silver & Black.

Green was a part of a trade that sent he and Kawhi Leonard to Toronto and netted the Spurs DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poeltl, and the draft pick that became Keldon Johnson. Green won his second title in 2019 with the Raptors before heading to L. A. and winning his third title in the 2020 COVID bubble with the Lakers.

Last month, Danny announced his retirement from basketball. He has been tapped as a pundit by various sports networks and joined multiple shows as a guest throughout the summer.

Tonight, he joins Jacob Tobey, the newest member of the Spurs broadcast team, in calling the game for the Fan Duel network.

It should be interesting to get Green’s take on this newest version of the Silver & Black as they have seen an uptick in momentum, yielding a winning record after seventeen games.
