One man dead, another hospitalized after fight on South Side, SAPD says

A fight between two men on the South Side led to one dying and another hospitalized, according to San Antonio police.

The incident happened around 2:20 p.m. on Tuesday in the 200 block of Grosvenor Boulevard.

A man, 58, and another man, 27, started arguing inside a home after an infant got into some items, police said.

“Hey, get that baby out of here!” said one of the men, according to police.

The man’s tone provoked the other man, and the two started arguing verbally, police said.

The two men challenged each other to fight in the street, but the altercation continued inside the home, SAPD said.

The 27-year-old man ended up shooting the other man, according to police. The 58-year-old man managed to stab the 27-year-old during the fight, authorities said.

The 58-year-old man was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

The 27-year-old man was found a couple of houses down from where the fight started, police said. Authorities tried to save his life, but he ended up dying from stab wounds, according to SAPD.
