NWS: Isolated severe storms possible in S.A., Hill Country Sunday evening

After experiencing a mild cold front coupled with isolated showers and storms to start the week, San Antonio and Hill Country residents are going to want to keep that umbrella handy this Sunday, April 2.

The National Weather Service is predicting isolated severe thunderstorms across the northern Hill Country and northern I-35 corridor late this afternoon and evening, according the organizations latest report.

Humidity levels will increase throughout the day as South Texas welcomes moisture back into the air. Temperatures will look a lot like yesterday’s, with temps projected to reach in the high 80’s, according to the NWS. Storms on Sunday are expected to be light across San Antonio but residents in areas such as San Marcos, Canyon Lake or Fredericksburg can expect heavier storms to hit their way around dinnertime, later this evening. 

Temperatures on Monday, April 3 are expected to reach as high as 95 degrees tomorrow with skies forecasted to be partly cloudy. On Tuesday, April 4 San Antonio and Hill Country residents can expect even more cloudy weather as temperatures hit the mid 90’s. Temperatures will take quick a dip on Wednesday, April 5 as the area welcomes a cold front before rain eventually lands on Thursday, April 6. As of Sunday, storm chances are projected at 82 percent, according The Weather Channel.

Friday, April 7 offers even more chances for rain as both San Antonio and Hill Country gear up for a wet weekend starting on Saturday, April 8.
