Last Friday, October 28, a 54-year-old man who was arguing with his wife at their Fort Worth, Texas home shot her several times and then turned the gun on himself. The husband was identified as David P. Richards by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office, which ruled he died from a gunshot wound to his head and his death was ruled a suicide, reports the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Fort Worth police were sent to a domestic related incident around 9:30 a.m. Friday in the 6400 block of Meadowbrook Drive in east Fort Worth. When they arrived, Richards was pronounced dead at the scene. The wife was transported to a local hospital in critical condition that Friday but her condition was not available on Monday. Police say she was shot in the lower body multiple times.

Fort Worth police told the Star Telegram that Richards was arguing with his wife before shooting her, but did not say what the argument was about.

Earlier in October, a domestic dispute in San Antonio ended in a man being killed. San Antonio police shot and killed a 33-year-old man who showed up to his ex-girlfriend’s home armed with a gun. An officer shot the man when he started moving toward his ex-girlfriend. Police say that situation had been escalating for weeks, with the ex-boyfriend putting a tracker on the ex-girlfriend’s car.
