NFL Insider Reveals Jalen Ramsey Surgery Update

Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey played 16 regular-season games last season, finishing with 77 tackles, 16 passes defended, and four interceptions.

In the postseason, he had 13 tackles and four passes defended.

More importantly, he helped the Rams win Super Bowl LVI over the Cincinnati Bengals.

The All-Pro defensive back will be an important asset to the squad as they try to win a second consecutive Super Bowl.

But before they start their title defense, Ramsey wanted to make sure that he was in full health.

NFL Network national insider Ian Rapoport tweeted, “#Rams All-Pro CB Jalen Ramsey had surgery on his shoulder today, source said. He played all last season with tears in both shoulders… and he should be ready before the start of the season.”

The last part of that post is what Rams fans would like to hear most.

Ramsey will be back to full strength before the 2022 season starts.

Still, it’s worth noting that he kept on competing despite having shoulder tears.

In his own post, he said, “All is well! God is great! Selfies are my hijas favorite. #nationalselfieday.”

Rams Improved Their Already Elite Defense

Aside from Ramsey, Taylor Rapp, Jordan Fuller, and Troy Hill will lead their defense in the secondary.

They’ve also added All-Pro Bobby Wagner to beef up their linebacker rotation which already has Justin Hollins, Ernest Jones, and Leonard Floyd.

Finally, Aaron Donald‘s return means that they will put constant pressure on opposing quarterbacks.

With solid rotations in three phases of their defense, the Rams are capable of shutting down opponents.

That ability will come in handy against the top teams in the NFC.

It becomes more valuable once they enter the playoffs again.
