NFL Fans React To Eagles Signing Ndamukong Suh

The Philadelphia Eagles decided to address their run defense this week.

One day after signing Linval Joseph, they added another defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.

Both players will play out the rest of this season in Philadelphia after signing one-year deals.

After getting gashed on the ground in Week 10 by the Washington Commanders, the Eagles are trying to fix the issue.

There is no question both of these players are past their prime.

But, how big of an impact will Suh have?

He has not played all season, and we last saw him in 2021 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

At best he can play anywhere from 20-30 plays a game.

But, the former second-round pick did not play well in 2021.

He was below average in pass rush/run stop win rate.

But, this is a risk-free move for the Eagles.

They will be paying Suh almost nothing to see if he can help out their run defense.

Tough Games Coming Up

The run defense will be immediately tested over the next few weeks for the Eagles.

Each of their next six games is against teams that can run the ball successfully.

It starts with reigning rushing champion Jonathan Taylor in Week 11.

Taylor is coming off his second 100-yard rushing game of the season and seems to be recovered from the ankle injury.

Then in Week 13, the Eagles face the Tennessee Titans and arguably the best running back in the NFL Derrick Henry.

We will know soon if the signings of Suh and Joseph are worth it or not.
