NFL Draft: 49ers meeting with Wisconsin OL Tyler Beach

According to Rohan Chakravarthi, the San Francisco 49ers spoke with Wisconsin offensive lineman Tyler Beach on Thursday at the school’s pro day. Area scout Ryan Kessenich plans to meet with the player after the event.

Beach (6-6, 312) has experience at guard and tackle. After blocking along the edges, he moved to left guard in his final season with the Badgers, the position many expect him to play in the NFL.

Beach made seven starts for Wisconsin this past season, with six coming at left guard and one as a blocking tight end. The offensive lineman played a total of 58 games for the Badgers, making 29 starts.

San Francisco lost offensive linemen Mike McGlinchey (Broncos) and Daniel Brunskill (Titans) in free agency. However, the team brought back center Jake Brendel and tackle Colton McKivitz while adding center Jon Feliciano (Giants).
