One NFL analyst has them pegged as an incredibly dangerous team, especially when it comes to the playoffs.
After finishing the 2021 season with a 3-14 record, the Jaguars were in desperate need of a coaching change.
They needed a veteran coach to come in and lead the team, struggling after their disappointing season, which was largely led by coach Urban Meyer.
Enter Doug Pederson.
Pederson was an NFL head coach for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2016-2020 before accepting the job at Jacksonville.
Although his career in Philadelphia was relatively short-lived, Pederson was able to bring the Eagles their first Super Bowl victory in 2019.
He has the coaching experience to lead this Jaguars team effectively, especially considering how young the core of their team is.
Will The Jaguars Be Able To Sustain Their Success?
On the heels of a streak of three wins in four games, the Jaguars have made up ground on the Tennessee Titans in the AFC South, finding themselves just one game behind them in the division race.
The Jaguars need to beat the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football tomorrow in order to have a chance at the playoffs.
If they lose one game, their playoff hopes for this season will likely be over.
