New England Revolution II announce the signing of Luka Borovic

FOXBOROUGH, MA– The New England Revolution II have announced that they have signed midfielder Luka Borovic.

He will occupy a Senior roster slot.

The signings bring the New England Revolution II’s roster to 18 official players.

This is the Revolution II’s 9th offseason signing.

Luka Borovic, 18, joins the New England Revolution II from Serbian league Omladinksa Liga Srbije. He has most recently featured for RFK Grafičar Beograd U19s where he registered 1 assist in 15 appearances. He formerly appeared for FK Partizan Belgrad U17s (2021) where he made 28 appearances and Red Star Belgrade U18s (2022) where he made 2 appearances.

Internationally, Borovic has 2 appearances for the Serbian Youth National Team. He started and played the full 90 minutes in both matches. (played against Bosnia & Montenegro).

For career stats, Borovic has 45 appearances (2,359 minutes) where he has registered 0 goals, 1 assist, and 6 yellow cards.

By signing for New England, he re-joins fellow teammate Andrej Bjelajac where the pair played together for the RFK Grafičar Beograd U19s.

Richie Williams and the New England Revolution II (0-0-0, 0pts.) have returned to Foxboro, Massachusetts to continue their preseason ahead of the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro campaign. They will begin the season on the road in Chester, PA as they are set to face Eastern Conference side Philadelphia Union II (0-0-0, 0 pts.) on Sunday, March 24th. The match kicks off in Subaru Park at 3:00 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app.
