Nets Reportedly Engaged In ‘Cursory’ Trade Talks Involving Ben Simmons For Veteran Shooter

The Brooklyn Nets engaged in “cursory” trade talks last week with a Western Conference team to return a veteran shooter, sources told Ian Begley of SNY.

Begley adds that Ben Simmons’ availability came up in the discussions.

The team is aggressively pursuing perimeter shooting, with Sean Marks admitting that there are holes in the roster.

“I’ll be the first to tell you, there’s certainly holes (in our roster). We’re not a finished product,” said Marks on Tuesday.

Simmons is averaging 6.2 points, 7.3 assists, and 6.5 rebounds on the season.
