NBPA To Vote On Start Date With Dec. 22nd Likely Inevitable

The NBPA is expected to vote on whether to start the season either December 22nd or January 18th by Thursday.

The December 22nd start date with a 72-game season is believed to be considered an inevitability at this point. The last possible date for Game 7 of The Finals would be July 22nd, one day before the start of the Olympics.

The January 18th proposal would feature a 60-game regular season and an end date in August for The Finals.

The NBA is estimating approximately $500 million in additional revenue would become available with the earlier start date.
