Mostly sunny skies and sizzling heat return this weekend
The “July fry” will soon be on again across the state of Texas. While some of us got some beneficial rainfall the last day or so, those who didn’t get any will have to wait, possibly for a while, before the chance comes around again.
High pressure will build into the forecast this weekend and into early next week. That means sunny skies and very hot temperatures are on the way for many across Texas. Places like El Paso, that haven’t seen high temps below 100 degrees in 23 days, will continue to bake into the foreseeable future.
We are monitoring a small rain chance on Sunday in the DFW area, but the rest of us will be just plain ole hot and sunny.
