Miralem Pjanic ‘is determined to move to Barcelona‘ this summer and ‘has rejected offers from Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.’

The Bosnian midfielder is almost certain to leave Juventus when the summer transfer window opens and wants to push through a transfer to the Nou Camp.

According to Marca, this has resulted in Pjanic rejecting the advances of both Chelsea and PSG.

Barcelona and Juventus continue to haggle over the transfer fee with the Italian side turning down the offer of Brazilian Arthur Melo in part-exchange.

But Juventus recognise it will be difficult to keep hold of wantaway Pjanic and so are determined to drive the fee as high as possible.

They value Pjanic, who is contracted to Juventus until 2023, at around £40million. He has been a regular starter at the Allianz Stadium since signing from Roma for £28.8m in 2016.

Pjanic, 30, has registered three goals and four assists in 32 appearances across all competitions for the Italian league leaders this season.

Having missed out on moving to Barcelona in the past, Pjanic doesn’t want to miss out this time around but he may be disappointed if Juventus set the price too high.

Barcelona have taken a heavy financial hit amid the Covid-19 pandemic, with their players taking hefty pay cuts to support other staff at the club.

They also remain keen to land No 1 summer target Lautaro Martinez, the Inter Milan striker, who has a release clause of £99m.

Funds could be raised by selling the injury-plagued Ousmane Dembele, who has struggled to make much impact since Barcelona bought him for £135m three years ago.
