Maxx Crosby On Next Raiders QB: “That’s F****** Tom Brady”

There’s still much uncertainty surrounding the Las Vegas Raiders and who will be the next starting quarterback. Many folks have weighed in with their opinions. Yet, when a current Raiders player weighs in, that carries a lot of weight. Pro Bowl defensive end Maxx Crosby was pretty straightforward when asked about it hypothetically. If you read the title, you’ll know that Tom Brady got Crosby’s vote.

Next Raiders QB? Maxx Crosby would love to have Tom Brady (hypothetically)…

During his recent appearance on Barstool’s “Bussin’ with the Boys,” Crosby admitted that, from a theoretical standpoint, Brady is the guy. Crosby went another step further, stating that this wasn’t controversial, all things considered.

“Who do I want? I would love to have Tom Brady. I don’t know how that could controversial. That’s f****** Tom Brady, as a leader, as a f****** player, as the GOAT. F*** yeah.”

Context is important here for a multitude of reasons. The show’s environment is one where players are relaxed and comfortable talking. The question itself was posed in a hypothetical sense, basically just asking for Crosby’s opinion. At the same time, Crosby could have easily said that he wanted Derek Carr back as the Raiders’ starting quarterback. Nevertheless, the defensive captain and leader of the Raiders made his thoughts known.

Talent recognizes talent in this situation. Crosby is arguably one of the best defensive players in the NFL. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to respect and acknowledge that Brady has been one of the best at his position for nearly a generation. A player of that magnitude would do wonders for the Raiders next season. When you think about it, maybe Crosby’s right—what’s so controversial about saying you want Brady as your next quarterback? In all likelihood, most players in Crosby’s position would’ve said the same thing.
