Matthew Stafford Owns An Embarrassing Stat Among Active QBs

The Los Angeles Rams are showing plenty of signs of a Super Bowl hangover this season.

After winning the big game last season, the Rams are 3-5 through eight games this year.

They look nothing like the team that won the Super Bowl last year, mostly because of quarterback play.

Matthew Stafford is having one of the worst seasons of his NFL career in 2022.

The 34-year-old QB has turned the ball over at an alarming rate this season.

He has thrown eight touchdowns and eight interceptions (second-worst in the NFL).

Throwing interceptions has been something that Stafford has done his whole career.

Stafford has been a big reason for the Rams’ shortcomings this season.

Coming off his first season in LA last year, where he threw 47 touchdowns and 17 interceptions.

Something seems to be wrong with the former Detroit Lion.

Playoff Push?

With a record of 3-5, it will be hard for the Rams to get into the playoffs.

Especially since they are playing in the NFC West.

The Seahawks and 49ers are both playing better than the Rams, and LA will have to win a Wild Card spot to return to the postseason.

The offense must get going for LA if they want any chance of playing deep into January.

Los Angeles is averaging an abysmal 16.4 points per game, which ranks 29th in the NFL.

Cooper Kupp is the only reliable offensive player the Rams have.

They have no running game and that puts even more pressure on Stafford to play well.

The Rams’ season is on the line over the next month.

In order, they face the Cardinals, Saints, Chiefs, and Seahawks.

Depending on how they do in that stretch will determine their playoff chances.
