Manchester United signs up to Armed Forces covenant

Collette Roche, Manchester United’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “Manchester United has always been proud of our support for the Armed Forces and our signing of this Covenant is a clear demonstration of United’s commitment to our promise.

“The Carabao Cup game at Old Trafford on the eve of Remembrance Day gave our fans the opportunity to honour those who gave their lives for our country, and we know that millions more across the UK and elsewhere around the world will have shared those sentiments.”

Victoria Doran, MOD Regional Employer Engagement Director for Greater Manchester, said: “It is fantastic to see Manchester United Football Club signing the covenant and pledging their support.

“They are the second Premier League Club to have done so. Manchester United has a real desire to excel in all they do, and I am excited to see how they develop their support. On behalf of the defence community across the region, we are very thankful.”
