Manchester City Vs Arsenal: Match Preview And Injury News

It doesn’t get any bigger than this. Manchester City are set to take on Arsenal in a battle for the Premier League title – the winner of this game is likely to lift the trophy at the end of the season.

Manchester City have just one injury concern to worry about ahead of their clash with the league leaders – Nathan Ake is set to miss out with a thigh problem.

In their last Premier League game, Manchester City swept aside a relegation-threatened Leicester City outfit by a score of 3-1. All three of City’s goals came in the first 25 minutes – John Stones opened the scoring, as Erling Haaland netted a brace soon afterward.

Meanwhile, Arsenal slipped on a banana skin in their previous Premier League encounter, as they had to fight tooth and nail to salvage a draw against bottom club Southampton. The Saints stunned the North London team by going 2-0 up before the 15 minute mark – the Gunners got themselves back into the game with a goal from Gabriel Martinelli, but Southampton struck again to make it 3-1.

As the game neared its conclusion, Arsenal began throwing the kitchen sink at Southampton. Two late goals from Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka spared their blushes, but it will be of little help to them in the ongoing title race.

When the two teams last came to blows in the league, City won by a score of 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium. Kevin De Bruyne opened the scoring, after he pounced on a poor backpass from Takehiro Tomiyasu. The Gunners equalised with a penalty from Bukayo Saka, but the Citizens retook the lead with goals from Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland. How will the reverse fixture pan out?
