  • Man City and Inter Milan name their starting XI for the Champions League final
  • Erling Haaland and Kevin de Bruyne both start for Pep Guardiola’s side
  • Kyle Walker starts on the bench after recent injury struggles

Manchester City and Inter Milan have named their starting line-ups for the Champions League final in Istanbul ahead of kick-off at 8pm.

The Premier League champions are competing in just their second Champions League final, while Inter have made it to the showpiece event for the first time since 2010 when they won the competition under Jose Mourinho.

It is the first time that the two teams have met in Europe’s premier cup competition and victory would hand City the coveted Treble.

City boss Pep Guardiola has stuck to his well-worked game-plan from across the season with Erling Haaland starting upfront on his own and Kevin de Bruyne acting as playmaker in behind.

There were injury concerns over Kyle Walker in the week building up to Saturday evening’s Champions League clash and the Englishman starts on the bench with John Stones appearing to drop into defence.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi will attempt to break City’s resolve with an attack lead by former City striker Edin Dzeko and Argentina World Cup winner Lautaro Martinez.

MAN CITY XI: Ederson, Akanji, Stones, Dias, Ake, Rodrigo, Gundogan (C), De Bruyne, Bernardo, Grealish, Haaland

BENCH: Ortega Moreno, Carson, Walker, Phillips, Laporte, Alvarez, Gomez, Mahrez, Perrone, Foden, Palmer, Lewis

INTER MILAN XI: Onana, Darmian, Acerbi, Bastoni, Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Dimarco, Dzeko, Martinez.

There has been chaos in the build-up to the showpiece event with some supporters of both clubs having to walk up to five miles to the stadium due to traffic on the roads and crowded public transport.
