A major crash on U.S. Highway 90 westbound closed lanes Saturday morning near San Francisco Perez Creek and County Road 4614 in Medina County, according to the Medina County Emergency Services District.
Fire and EMS crews from Castroville and Hondo responded just before noon. Westbound lanes remain closed, according to the Texas Department of Transportation, and ESD officials warned drivers to expect delays in both directions for several hours.
No information on injuries or the number of vehicles involved had been released.
Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes until the roadway reopens.
