Residents on the Far Northside of San Antonio are in for a warm, fluffy and sweet treat from a popular breakfast spot according to a recent state filing. Magnolia Pancake Haus is planning on converting an old restaurant on the Far Northside into its fourth location, according to a filing from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation

The filing says that the new Magnolia Pancake Haus location is planned for an old restaurant at 2070 N. Loop 1604, which is where the old Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery was located. It is now closed according to Google and Yelp. The filing says renovations will be done to an existing building “for [a] new restaurant.”

The filing says construction is expected to begin in November with a completion date in May 2023. As with all filings, details are subject to change. MySA reached out to Magnolia Pancake Haus for comment.

The breakfast spot is known for its namesake, pancakes, served with butter and warm syrup. It also has various kinds of waffles, French toast, frittatas, omelets and different hash plates.

Magnolia has three different locations including first location at Embassy Oaks then another at Medical Center and a third at Cibolo. Currently its Medical Center location on Huebner is the only store that is open on Tuesdays. The other two locations are not open on Tuesdays.
