Mac Jones again the betting favorite to be No. 3 pick in NFL Draft
Remember when Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Justin Fields was the betting favorite to be selected by the San Francisco 49ers with the No. 3 pick of the NFL Draft? That lasted less than a week.
BetOnline.ag updated its odds and once again has Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Mac Jones as the favorite to be drafted third overall at -115. Fields, meanwhile, fell from -180 to +110. Trey Lance of the North Dakota State Bison went from +500 to +375, while BYU Cougars QB Zach Wilson remains a long shot at +2800.
Most experts and analysts believe the Jacksonville Jaguars will select Clemson Tigers superstar Trevor Lawrence first overall before the New York Jets grab Wilson with the second pick.
Ryan Wilson and Josh Edwards of CBS Sports currently predict the 49ers will draft Jones, while Chris Trapasso and Pete Prisco linked San Francisco with Fields in their latest mock drafts. However, those updates were shared before NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport confirmed on Wednesday that Fields previously informed teams he is managing epilepsy:
