CPS Energy says Loop 410 between Texas 151 and Military Drive on the West Side will experience lance closures from 3 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday for work on overhead power lines.
In a news release, the energy company said the work will require temporary lane closures affecting in both directions of Loop 410 as well as nearby access roads. The lane closures are coordinated with the Texas Department of Transportation and are needed to ensure driver and crew safety, the news release said. Lane closures are expected to last no more than 15 minutes each, CPS Energy said.
No residential or commercial power interruptions are expected in the area because of the work.
CPS Energy reminds drivers that the Move Over Slow Down law includes the requirement to move over or slow down for utility vehicles with flashing lights.
