Lille’s talent spotter Luis Campos is in discussions with Arsenal
Campos tipped for Nice
Yesterday reports emerged that Lille’s talent spotter Luis Campos would be making the move to Nice.
Head coach Christophe Galtier does indeed look to be on the way to the French south coast after winning the Ligue 1 title, however Campos joining him would have made for an impressive partnership once again.
French journalist Romain Collet-Gaudin published, ‘The Portuguese Louis Campos should arrive at the club to manage the recruitment. Christophe Galtier always closer to the Riviera club.’

However, it seems things have changed.
Arsenal, Real Madrid in discussion
The reports originally suggesting Campos would be moving to Nice have now been debunked.
The reliable French journalist Loic Tanzi has said he will ‘not’ being joining Nice. Instead reiterated the discussion between him and Real Madrid but also suggested that Arsenal were a possible destination for the talent spotter.
‘Luis Campos will not join Nice. No contact with the Gym. However, Luis Campos is still in discussions with several clubs including Real Madrid and Arsenal. The Portuguese is attentive to the development of other European clubs as well,’ he wrote.

Arsenal have experienced something of a behind-the-scenes shake up of late with Richard Garlick joining the club from his executive role at The Premier League. He will take on many and more of the responsibilities, especially regarding player contracts, left by Huss Fahmy. Sven Mislintat, Raul Sanhelli and Ivan Gazidis have all departed in the last few years.
Could Campos come in to work with technical director Edu Gaspar to work on finding some gems for the Arsenal first team?
