Leicester look to Vitoria Guimaraes star Edmond Tapsoba as defensive cover
Leicester City have asked about Vitoria Guimaraes defender Edmond Tapsoba.
Manager Brendan Rodgers wants cover for Jonny Evans and Caglar Soyuncu while Filip Benkovic is wanted on loan by Middlesbrough and Derby.
They have asked about Jannik Vestergaard at Southampton but have been put off by their £18million asking price.

The 20-year-old Tapsoba, a Burkina Faso international, has interest from Bayer Leverkusen also and is regarded as top young prospect.
Guimaraes want around £17million for the 6ft 3ins centre back but may negotiate over a structured payment deal.
Tapsoba has been a mainstay in Vitoria Guimaras’ side this season, making 32 appearances for the Liga NOS side. The youngster has been strong in both boxes, netting eight goals and providing two assists.
