Lazio and Udinese served up a thrilling six-goal spectacle at the Stadio Olimpico, with Arthur Atta’s late heroics earning Udinese a dramatic draw after the hosts mounted a second-half comeback.

The two sides arrived in Rome with contrasting form. Lazio sat ninth in Serie A with 47 points from 33 matches, carrying momentum from recent wins. Udinese occupied 11th place with 43 points, seeking consistency after a mixed run of results. Both teams needed points to strengthen their mid-table positions.

Udinese struck first when Kingsley Ehizibue fired past Lazio’s defense in the 18th minute. The away side’s early intensity caught the hosts off guard. Lazio controlled possession but struggled to create clear opportunities in the opening stages.

The home team pressed for an equalizer but Udinese’s defense held firm. Lazio’s passing accuracy reached 88 percent, yet they managed only five shots on target from 12 total attempts. Udinese maintained their lead through disciplined defending and quick transitions.

Halftime arrived with Udinese ahead despite Lazio’s dominance in possession. The hosts needed to convert their control into concrete chances. Tactical adjustments seemed inevitable after a frustrating first 45 minutes.

Lazio emerged with renewed purpose after the break. Luca Pellegrini equalized in the 50th minute, sparking the home crowd. The momentum shifted dramatically toward the Stadio Olimpico faithful.

Pedro doubled Lazio’s advantage in the 80th minute with a composed finish. The hosts appeared to have seized control and were heading toward victory. However, Udinese refused to surrender.

Arthur Atta scored twice in quick succession to turn the match on its head. He netted in the 86th minute, then again in the 90+3rd minute to put Udinese ahead. The away side’s resilience proved extraordinary.

Daniel Maldini delivered the final twist in the 90+5th minute, rescuing a point for Lazio with a late equalizer. The match finished 3-3 after an absorbing encounter. Both teams showed attacking quality but defensive vulnerabilities.

Statistically, Udinese created more chances with 1.91 expected goals against Lazio’s 1.25. The visitors registered seven shots on target from 16 total attempts. Lazio managed five on target from 12 shots despite controlling 47 percent possession.

The draw keeps Lazio ninth with 48 points. Udinese moves to 44 points but remains 11th. Both teams must rebuild momentum heading into the final weeks of the season.
