Las Vegas Raiders: 3 Offensive Free Agents To Target After June 1st

June 1st is quickly approaching for the Las Vegas Raiders. They’ll soon be in a good position to add depth to their offensive arsenal at wide receiver or perhaps pick up another offensive lineman.

The Raiders’ front office did a noteworthy job of replenishing the roster this offseason. Offensively speaking, acquiring Davante Adams sent shockwaves across the NFL. It was a move that most didn’t see coming, and it helped change the landscape of the wide receiver market afterward. The offensive line was a different set of circumstances as general manager Dave Ziegler stated that his defense became the focus once nothing panned out for an offensive lineman. In many ways, that worked out, as the Raiders landed Chandler Jones. In response, Ziegler instead secured the entire 2021 unit; all of last year’s contributors will be back. The caveat is that the Raiders could still benefit from an addition at right tackle.

The Las Vegas Raiders could add depth at wide receiver or tackle after June 1st

Raiders’ offensive target No. 1 – Will Fuller

Many fans vehemently oppose the addition of another wide receiver. A lot of that stems from Odell Beckham Jr.’s being frequently mentioned as a potential target. Be that as it may, another free agent that should be on the Raiders’ radar is Will Fuller.

While his stint last year with the Miami Dolphins was underwhelming, Fuller still has plenty of upside. Health has certainly been his biggest issue thus far in his career. However, one thing that Fuller can do is stretch the field. He’s averaged nearly 15 yards per reception in his career. Fuller could resurrect his career by playing behind Adams and Hunter Renfrow. He’d realistically be the team’s fourth option, an excellent way to take advantage of his mismatches if he’s healthy.

Raiders’ offensive target No. 2 – Daryl Williams

It appears that the consensus target for the Raiders is Daryl Williams. Many in the media as well as fans agree that the right tackle spot is still a concern, and rightfully so. As it stands, Las Vegas will have a platoon duke it out in camp for playing time. Jermaine Eluemunor and Brandon Parker are back and looking for playing time. Further clouding the situation, Alex Leatherwood was listed as a right tackle at the outset of OTAs. Is it possible that Leatherwood will be the starter in Week 1? Perhaps, signing Williams won’t be necessary after all.

Raiders’ offensive target No. 3 – Riley Reiff

Riley Reiff was a first-round pick for the Detroit Lions back in 2012. He saw playing time at both tackle slots for the Lions as well as the Minnesota Vikings from 2017-2020. Last year, Reiff’s season was cut short, playing in only 12 games, but he managed a 70.0 run-blocking grade by Pro Football Focus. In pass protection, Reiff gave up four sacks total in 2021.

Reiff could be brought in as a depth piece. More importantly, his versatility could be huge. On top of playing both tackle positions, Reiff also played at left guard while at the University of Iowa. Maybe a change of position is in order. It’ll be interesting to see how the Raiders address the offensive line after June 1st.
