Lakers Have Concerns On Adding Kyrie Irving ‘At Any Price’

The Los Angeles Lakers had serious interest in Kyrie Irving during the offseason, but that position has changed.

Sources tell Sam Amick of The Athletic that the Lakers “have significant concerns about the prospect of adding Irving at any price and have not been focused on that scenario all season long.”

The Lakers may have had the most serious interest in Irving if he would have opted out of his contract and been willing to sign a taxpayer midlevel deal at $6.4 million.

Irving will be a free agent this coming offseason as he’s on an expiring $37 million contract.
