Pochettino and co., though, simply cannot afford to feel sorry for themselves. This comes with another vital outing to come on Saturday afternoon.

The French champions will play host to Lens, aware that nothing but a 3-point haul will suffice in their bid to hunt down Lille atop the Ligue 1 table.

Mbappe latest

The PSG faithful, as a result, have since been left to sweat over Mbappe’s availability for next week.

The Parisians are set to make the trip to Manchester on Tuesday, hopeful of overturning their first-leg deficit, to book a spot in the Champions League final for the 2nd year running.

Subsequent updates, though, suggest that fans of the Ligue 1 champions can rest easy.

Mbappe, according to reports, has not picked up any kind of tear, but is instead simply suffering from muscle contractures in his calf.

In turn, he will be tended to by physiotherapists over the weekend, before returning to feature from the off at the Etihad in four days’ time.
