Three years ago, when Tom Brady was still a member of the Patriots, the Buccaneers led the league in passing yards. Their quarterback was former Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston, who began this season as the incumbent starter for the Saints. But he lost the gig after laboring to play through a back injury, and the man who has replaced him is the subject of tonight’s top prop:

The bet: Under 221½ passing yards for Saints quarterback Andy Dalton (FanDuel)

This will be the 10th start of the season for Dalton, who has largely underwhelmed in compiling a 3-6 record. He has stayed below this number in three of the last four games, and the New Orleans natives are getting restless.

While coach Dennis Allen has indicated that changes are possible, he hasn’t pulled the trigger on a QB switch yet. But he continues to give more playing time to Taysom Hill, a hybrid player who lines up both in the backfield and at tight end. Over the last two games, Hill has 15 carries and 4 passing attempts.

Whether due to personnel packages or ineffectiveness, Dalton seems unlikely to play a full complement of snaps tonight. He’ll also be facing a Bucs defense that limits opponents to 192 passing yards per game, which is the sixth-lowest mark in the league.

Expect limited damage from the Red Rifle.
