King Charles’ ‘hot’ equerry sets hearts afire again: ‘Tremendous hunk!’

It may have been King Charles’ day on July 5 for his Scottish coronation, but all eyes were on his equerry instead.

The monarch’s right-hand man, Maj. Jonathan Thompson, yet again stole hearts at the crowning in Edinburgh, Scotland, on Wednesday.

At the ceremony — held at St Giles’ Cathedral — the 74-year-old was presented with the Honors of Scotland at a Service of Thanksgiving.

As for Thompson, 39, people took to social media to swoon over his stunning good looks.

“Major Jonny Thompson is a tremendous hunk!” someone gushed.

Another person chimed in: “I think I’m getting a wee crush on King Charles‘s new royal equerry.”

An enthusiastic fan wrote: “I am doing some major swooning here. He is one gorgeous man.”

“Does King Charles know how thankful we are to him for making Johnny Thompson his equerry? My, oh my,” another added.

Before Thompson served Charles, he was a senior bodyguard for the late Queen Elizabeth.

The sovereign died at the age of 96 in September 2022 after 70 years on the British throne.

In fact, Thompson was seen walking behind her casket in the royal procession when she was transferred from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall on Sept. 15 for the four-day lying-in-state.

The army man has been spotted at many events with the royal family, including escorting the queen to Balmoral Castle in 2018 and accompanying former Prime Minister Liz Truss to meet Charles at Buckingham Palace in October 2022.

The major currently serves with the 5th Battalion Royal Regiment of Scotland and has been by Charles’ side since 2020.

He played a large role at Charles’ May 5 coronation at Westminster Abbey as well.

Thompson had a hand in making sure certain parts of the crowning ceremony went smoothly, such as handling Charles’ long regal robes and more.

“The King’s equerry. Uber hot!” one amorous fan wrote at the time.

“Our Major Johnny looking fiiiiinnnneeeee as always,” another person weighed in

Unfortunately for lovelorn royal watchers, Thompson is off the market and has been married to his wife, Caroline, since 2010.

They share a 4-year-old son and two dogs, Odin and Piper.
