Kevin Costner’s estranged wife shuts down claim she stripped ‘the house bare’

Kevin Costner’s estranged wife hit back at the “Yellowstone” star’s claims that she stripped “the house bare” amid their bitter divorce.

Christine Baumgartner filed new legal documents in which she states an emergency hearing over their belongings is unnecessary, as she claims she provided Costner’s attorney with “pictures of the items she plans to remove,” Entertainment Tonight reported Monday.

A hearing to ensure she didn’t “strip the house bare” is “uncalled for,” she states.

Last Friday, a judge ruled that the former handbag designer must have a discussion with the “Field of Dreams” star before taking any property from their Santa Barbara, Calif., estate.

However, in her new filing, Baumgartner explains that she rented an off-site storage unit in preparation for her move and already has stored her Peloton bike, family heirlooms, clothing and keepsakes from friends.

Baumgartner, 49, states in the documents that she provided Costner’s lawyers with a PDF featuring photos of the personal belongings that she removed – and insists that her estranged husband would “not be harmed” by the removal of the aforementioned belongings.

She also moved silverware, pots, pans and some swivel chairs to her storage unit, and is requesting a “mother/daughter horse picture” from the now-former couple’s Aspen, Colo., estate.

Costner and Baumgartner’s battle over their personal items is the latest in their contentious divorce.

Just last week, the “Hidden Figures” actor, 68, accused Baumgartner of robbing him blind.

Documents obtained by Page Six claim the mom of three paid her divorce lawyer, Susan Wiesner, “on the credit card of an employee which is traditionally used for Costner family house charges and paid by [Kevin].”

Additionally, Costner’s lawyers allege that Baumgartner bought a luxury car months before they separated, which was unusual because they always leased their vehicles.

The Oscar winner’s legal team claims the car purchase is evidence that she “had been planning her exit long before she told [Kevin] in April 2023.”

A judge also ruled in Baumgartner’s favor in terms of child support, having ordered Costner to pay $129,755 per month.

The judge also ordered Costner, who married Baumgartner in 2004, to pay $200,000 in attorney’s fees and $100,000 in forensic costs.
